Overview
Terry Howe Printing Services is a long-standing, family-owned print company based in South Australia, offering offset, digital, and wide-format printing. The goal of this project was to modernise their website and introduce an intuitive online ordering platform that would make it easier for customers to place orders while giving the client easy controls to adjust product pricing.
Design Objectives
- Custom Online Ordering Platform
Create a structured and efficient ordering flow that allows customers to customise and purchase print products online. - Flexible Pricing Logic
Develop backend logic to calculate prices using a base rate and adjustable percentage mark-up, making pricing updates simple and scalable. This allows the client to easily manage pricing without needing to touch code. - Improved Product Pages
Design clear, user-friendly product pages that outline specifications, options, and pricing in a way that supports confident purchasing decisions.

Design & Development Approach
- Figma Prototyping
The complete shop flow was first designed in Figma, including detailed desktop and mobile layouts. This allowed the client to review the user journey, product options, and interaction patterns before development began. - Custom Pricing Logic
I designed a backend system that lets the client adjust prices through a combination of base rates and percentage margins, no coding required. This makes the platform flexible and easy to maintain. - Responsive Design
The final build reflects the Figma designs across all screen sizes, ensuring a seamless experience on both desktop and mobile devices.

Outcome
The redesigned Terry Howe Printing website now features a modern online ordering system tailored to the client’s business model. The dynamic pricing backend simplifies internal workflows and helps maintain accurate, real-time pricing. As a result, the platform offers a far more efficient experience for both the business and its customers, increasing convenience, reducing admin, and positioning the business for future growth.
